Active Noise Reducton (ANR) takes the Knock Box to a whole other level. The aircraft quality ANR headset uses microphones and internal speakers to invert the external sound and greatly reduce the sound of engine, dyno and vehicle noise. “As far as the Knock Box goes, from a tuners point of view it’s the ultimate way to find the perfect tune. To be able to get your timing tune and your AFR correct just before early detonation this is almost unable to be heard by the natural ear. Especially in the high powered applications where the noise level from engine, driveline, dyno, etc makes it impossible to detect early detonation without a Knock Box. This saves a lot of engines from damage. In my opinion it’s the ONLY way to professionally tune an engine. I like the change of pitch you hear, which defiantly makes it easier to hear.”
